Dear future Campers next year in 2021 you will be going to the same year 6 camp as we did. Camp bentzon has a lot of fun activities for you to do. You will go on a bus and then a ferry also I'm going to tell you 5 top tips about camp bentzon kawau island and you will stay there for 3 and a half days. The best thing to do is to grab extra things on the checklist. Also you would have to get to school early at seven the bus leave at 7:30 so come early to help and not be late.
The first tip for camp is when you go up killer hill bring two water bottles and healthy lunch. Also when you sit on the other side of camp and you make it to where you are supposed to go. Watch out for the prickles and take a lot of rest. And stay in shade. Killer hill is an hour walk so if you see more than one path stay where you are and take a break the teachers will walk back and come get you. The teacher will tell you that when you're at camp. Don't forget to have so much fun while you there and listen to the teacher you have in your team and don't forget to thank you teacher for help you to go the the activities
The second tip is to get your food and your desert is to be quiet and fold your arms and don’t try to talk when teachers look away. Also the teachers like the way when you have manners and if you say the pray you might get points and go in first. When you walk in the dining room you would want to be quiet so when you get in without no loud noise you can go straight to food. The teacher won't be telling the food cause they like to keep it as a surprise. Don’t forget to thank the teachers for the food.
Third top tip is when it’s nearly night time the teacher will do inspections. So they will be checking your rooms to see if you clean it.You can do bribes but the teacher won't mine. But when your room is checked you have to stay in your rooms or you will lose points. The cleaning is worth one hundred points or two hundred or maybe more. The best way to win is to add theater or heights of the bag and maybe shoes by your bed. The teacher enjoys looking at clean rooms so hope you win.
Fourth tip is when you sail you listen very well to the 5 or 4 key instructions. Peter will be talking for a while so listen if not. You will fall out of the boat it will get boring inside when Peter is talking but when you are in the boat and you actually listen it will be fun. Also if you didn't listen go with another person and tell them to help you and if you go solo then you will have to listen. If you fall out Mr Goodwin won't help but Peter will push you back to shore I think so maybe yes or no. also try not to fall out of the boat.
On concert night Mr Goodwin and Mr Somerville teacher will be giving rewards to the best sailer and best splasher. bravest person on the confidence course. There will be more prizes for the confidence course Mr jacobson loves to give more prizes to more people so be brave and try your best to win. The winning team will also get a prize if they win and if they are the loudest in singing your team concert song you will get more points. It goes all the way to 2000 points to 400 points so try you hardest to win.
